Mine lives too! The 8N quit after mowing two pasture fields and had to sit for a couple of months while we dealt with other issues (like a tree on the house!). I rebuilt the carb (put that carb on the 9N and put its on the 8N, had to keep on tractor running and the 9 was the only one) and did another tune up with new parts this time (not just resetting everything) and cleaned the distributor (front mount). Fired right up and got it moved out of the pasture. Luckily the llamas left it alone, I've had them pull wires off before. Still need to crank in the new plugs and replace the key switch and I can mow again!
