Terry........ya gotta hepp us out here. There are 2-different styles of rear axles and therefore 2-different styles of seals. Big NUT 8N ...or... big BRAKE 9N/2N.
Most axle leaks are caused by OVERFILLED hydro-tranny oil. Simple to check and fix. Pull yer 6-o'clock bolt outta yer roundy-dipstick plate behind yer right heel and letter drain.
Surprizingly enuff, most OVERFILL is caused by WATER leaking thru the BIG compensator SPRING under yer butt-buckett. (tip: water in hydro-tranny oil turns MILKY, 'stedda' clear honey color)
Most trumpet leaks are the lower link pin. It is internally cotter-keyed by castelated nut. Torque to 150ft/lbs. Unfortunately, you gotta remove yer rear axle trumpet to tighten the internal lower link NUT. (tip: swipe yer paper trumpet gasket in HOT water to relax it so it fits over them 11-studnuts. torque studnuts to 40ft/lbs) .......Dell

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
