Do a compression test, dry and wet, that will give you an idea what shape the engine is in. A cheap rebuild will cost you around $2-$300. A full rebuild around $1000. If mission creep gets you and you replace the king pin, axle bushings, brakes, seals, clutch and anything else you find worn or needs painting you can hit $2000 easily. BTDT. However, when you get done you will have a tractor that should need nothing more then a tune up and oil change for the rest of your life.
