If it were a 9n/2N three brush, it would have only one terminal, unless it were one of the very early small generators (~first 12500 made) and those had only two terminals & 2 brushes & used a VR not a cut out. After that the world saw many thousands of 3 brush/1 terminal generators with cut out. Then with the 8N, 3 brush/3 terminal and later 8Ns with 2 brush/3 terminal units, all with VRs.
