Now why would anyone buy that tractor and put just 75 hours on it in 3+ years :?: This is why I've never purchased a new automobile.
TOH
There are no doubt many, many, many possibilities as to why. If i wee buying it, I would look closely to try to verify the claimed 75 hours.
But, a few come to mind. He was some old guy who always wanted a nice tractor & he could finally afford it, but now too old to really use it (could be me?). He bought a bunch of new equipment trying to start a business, didn't work out well enough to make payments (see it here all the time with wild eyed young optimist buying $100,000 in haying equipment only to lose it all in less than a season). Bought it & died....difficult estate settlement. Didn't do what he wanted it to do (to big, too small, ?? Must be hundreds of possibilities
Further, I bet there are posters here that don't put 25 hour a year on their tractors ever in their lifetime. I used to run hundreds of hour a year on one tractor when younger & that was a part time job. Now, I have 4 tractors and last year, I didn't hit 10 hours on most of them. About 30 hours on my big mower (SMTA). Hire my hay cut/baling now, too hot & hard work for me. Other men gotta eat too.
