if i were to go paper I would try and come up wif some kind of foam pre cleaner,,, that would save rite many paper filter replacements but some added maintenance,,, My lawn mowers have paper filters with the foam set up,,, I can run the paper filters for a few years with out replacing them but need to clean the foam every 10 hr. (small filters) i don't think any of my tractors run in no were as a dusty environment as my mowers,,, BTW I despise a K&N filters and think they are a waist of good money,,, I would offer you all you want but gave away probably 15 of'em first of the year
Folks that think a oil bath filter never needs clean'n have never took one apart,,, they do need servicing least once every 50 years,,, I c at least one a year thats stopped slap arse up,,, If I can not git it apart we have a winnie roast :lol:
it does amaze me my ford 3000 has a paper filter and has over 3000 hr. on the clock and the clock is broke,,, no smoke and the engine seams to b in good condition,,, tho its has a 1' thick of greas/dirt on it,,, paper filter must B work'n
