I am no engineer, but it has been said many times on this forum that while the tractor will indeed run with negative ground on the stock 6v setup - it will do so with 25% less power (for some weird electronic "Law" or something). Swap the positive and negative cables, repolorize the generator, and enjoy a 25% boost of power to your ignition system. Dan
