Short answer: Yes Long Answer: While any number of different FEL's can be found for this tractor the bottom line is the machine is not well suited to them for a myriad of reasons.
- No power steering
- Inadequate brakes
- Poor gearing
- Minimal mounting options
- Etc....
I had a Sauder loader on my 9N for about a week before I took it off and I've never looked back. If you REALLY need a FEL I'd suggest you shop around for a newer tractor so equipped. Plenty of far better machines available for not a whole lot more than you'll wind up spending retrofitting a 9N. I bought a small 4WD Kubota with FEL for $6K and it's infinitly superior to the 9N with Sauder loader. If you REALLY need a backhoe I'd suggest you shop around for a used backhoe. The 3pt rigs on AG tractors are ill suited to substantial hoe work and often lack the reach and lift capabailities of the real deal. Plus they beat the tractor up. If you just need a hoe for a one off job rent one. Around here a top of the line Case 4WD, hydrostatic drive, air conditioned, extend-a-hoe costs 165/day and will way out perform any AG tractor I've ever seen. HTH, TOH
