Thanks for the info.The spark is very good and as for the carb I have to keep the idle screw shut completely off and the main jet screw turn out about 4 turns just to keep it running. I have had the carb apart several times and cleaned it and put new gaskets back on.I"ve checked for air leaks to no prevail.When I bought the tractor it was doing the same thing until I found a piece of wood in the gas tank.The wood took off the screen on the sediment bowl and would block the fuel flow,after I found this I thought my problem was fixed but it"s not.As for the fuel cap it is not vented the tank has a vent in the center of it which I made sure it was open several times.It seems I have to have the carb very rich for it to run.Ive tryed adjusting it several times with no luck.
