You do not grind on the bottom. You do not shape the blade. You remove mat'l from the cutting edge until you get back to good mat'l and the part of the bottom of the blade that is still flat and not worn. You remove mat'l from the cutting edge at the same bevel that exists. You may have to remove 1/8" or even 1/4" of the mat'l on the cutting edge to get back to where the bottom of the blade is flat because it will be worn and rounded some but do not try to grind on the bottom because you will get all the dang angles changed up and the blades will never be right again. Out on the ends, maybe the last 1" or 1 1/4" of the cutting edge, you will have to grind more because that is the first place and the place where most of the cutting takes place. I'll say it another way, the only place you touch the blade with your grinder is on the cutting edge. Just be patient and grind it back to good mat'l and angles.
