I've had good luck with a 5 foot King Kutter. I rented one first from the local dealer (Klem's in Spencer Mass who are always pleasant to deal with) for a weekend last fall to do a big cleaning up job in the back of our property, then bought one this spring. I can recommend try before you buy but if not, a 5 footer will definitely work fine. The King Kutter seems to be well made. Only problem I have is the hydraulics have trouble keeping the Hog lifted up if I disengage the PTO when I'm driving between barn and field, so I have to leave the PTO engaged and the blade running. Other less heavy implements (e.g. yard rake) don't do this. In general the lack of live hydraulics on the 8N is a pain - I'm thinking of saving up my pennies to get Zane's live Thang. Jon
