I have a 2012 Dodge 3500 with the 6.7 Cummins with 55,000 miles on it and a 2006 Chevy Kodiak 4500 with the Duramax and Allison. Dodge finally got the brakes and transmission right. I have pulled 27,000 pounds with no problem. I do know that is overweight but did not have a choice. It starts exceptionally well (minus 18 degrees in North Dakota). I REALLY like the way the transmission works with the exhaust brake. The Duramax is nice too, it and the transmission works well together. I haven't had problems with it yet, but it sounds as if Chevy repairs are pricy. My family car is a 2003 Ford 4x4, 4 door one ton with a V10. 70,000 miles and not one issue. Pulled 20,000 pounds faster than you can stop it. All this being said Dodge makes a good hard pulling work truck.
