I tried an MSD on my U puller and couldn"t make it work. I just run Autolite 3116 with a pertronix ignition and it runs great. I tried everything with the MSD, 100"s of different plugs, wires, timing and nothing worked as good as original. I am 12 to 1 compression with several extra cubic inches. How ever I put MSD on large cubic inch Farmall M on racing gas and it works wonderfull. Put it on a ford 460 pulling truck and it works great, just couldn"t make it work on my tractor. Might be the fuel but there is guys running them on propane. So Only one way to find out for sure is to try it.
