Weren't the 800 over 200hp factory, or am I wrong, that's a big motor, especially for its time, everyone thinks a 855 cummins is so big, but mm had a 800 way earlier. I like the diesel, I know a lot of people don't like the 585 but, most people don't use them to hard anymore, I bet 50% never do much work anymore, I've seen the 800s in a4ts and wouldn't mind owning one. Heard when they put them in the a4t they lock out first gear due to all the torque, don't know if that's true, but I've heard that.
