Hi Folks, Posted a message on this forum and fixed & welded the sterring sector shaft on my dads brown jet star, rebuilt the steering valve, power steering for first time in over 40 years. Question.....I think the timing is off, replaced the plugs, wires, points, rebuilt carb, idles fine, when you have a load pops and misses unless you pull the choke. Manual says to check timing at a certain rpm and adjust, tractor doesnt have a tachometer, can I just borrow a timing light and try without a tach? thanks Jim
