I have never owned a Massey Ferguson tractor, so obviously, I don't have any idea what I'm doing.
However, I have a chance to buy a MF 275 for a really good price. It has a Perkins, 4 cylinder diesel engine with an oil leak in the area of the rear main seal.
Is it possible to drop the oil pan without removing the engine? Is it then possible to replace a rear main seal from the bottom of the engine?
Thanks for any help you can give to me. I'd like to buy the tractor, but because of my lack of familiarity with Massey Fergusons, I'm a bit reluctant to do so.
