Hi. New here. Recently bought a MF 255 with 2690 hours. In overall OK condition. Starts and runs like a top. A lot of deferred maintenance. Changed the oil & filter. There was some oil on sides of engine. Decided to Gunk and rinse to try to confirm valve cover gasket leak. After I did that, no start. Not even a solenoid click. I discovered one of the Neutral safety switch wires had broken off from the bullet connector, even though i used a very gentle water pressure with no hose attachment. I bought a new neutral switch and basic bullet connectors from Advanced auto parts. Still no click ! Maybe I haven't crimped the wires correctly into the new connectors ? Could it be the connectors themselves ? The old ones appeared brass. These new elCheapos appear to be aluminum with plastic. I haven't tried to jump the switch yet. Any direction appreciated. Many thanks
