I"ve been doing some bush hog work for a neighbor using his Massey Ferguson 50 tractor with a Z134 (Z134A500P) gas engine. I noticed when I first started the tractor that it was missing so I brought it to my house and checked the compression. Found that the first cylinder had no compression and the other 3 were around 60. Squirted some oil in the first cylinder and retested with no change. The tractor does not smoke at all. I was wondering if someone with experience with these tractors would have a "most likely" cause? Worn camshaft, bend pushrod, burnt or stuck valve, rocker arm problem? The owner is on a vacation trip right now, and I figured when he gets back I might at least take the valve cove off and see if the rocker arms and pushrods are working.
