Hi Glad ya found it was an easy fix. In your reply to my other post you said you could not see the spline shaft was twisting. as a general reference you might not always see the movement. The top might twist and bind up solid. mine did it turning in a rut, and it stayed tight. I had to dismantle it to find it was stripped. I've seen an oliver or cockshut 1800/1850 do the same thing before so it can be common. Regards Robert
