You might remove the 4 bolt cover below the clutch and see if the bellcrank moves OK, need a helper to move rod while using a light and mirror to watch the linkage. Had a 65D that lost MP, pivot bolt was broken on that one, had to split to replace the bolt. Rod should move about 3/4 inch total travel, spool will limit rod travel if working OK. If pivot bolt is broken inside it will move more, and may fall inside if control linkage is removed from the rod.
