The 240 is newer but the 235's were notorious for power steering problems. So much so that MF dropped them after only 2 years and replaced them with the 245 and less HP 230. Go with the 240. If you see a 245, they are an excellent tractor too. The 235 is about the only dark spot of all the MF tractors that used the same power train. The 240 went back to it's 135 roots but is upgraded. A few weeks ago on this forum a museum estimated there were about 2 million 135's and 240's produced either by MF or under license from MF. 2 million users can't be wrong! LoL
