Lots of different opinion on type of fluid. Many prefer the straight mineral oil as listed in original manual. 80-90#. Mostly because of bronze bearings in the transmission . I use a current trans-hydraulic UTF. But I don't work the tractor very hard. The lighter weight fluid works better in cold temperature. As to the volume most manuals list 8 gal. I have an original operators manual for my 65, and it lists 26 quarts. At 7 gal. It was above the high limit on the dipstick.
