My dad bought an 1100 new when they came out in 1967 or 1968. We still have it. It was a primary tractor for the 1st 5 years until he bought an 1130. The clutch was not strong enough when he bought it, but it was its first year and they made changes to it and it has not been a problem since the 1st year. It has been absolutely reliable - not one problem and we still use it constantly. Very maneuverable, very good hydraulics, and well laid out in the cab. Also, very simple. We've used it on a field chopper, plow, sickle bar mower work, raking, everything. It's really a perfect size.

So if your pulling out onto the road up a road bank and push the clutch in, it will hold you there without brakes. Also, when the motor is off, there are no brakes. That sounds worse than it is - we've never had a problem. It
