Jim, Once you stand back and look at the mechanism that controls the 55's unloading auger you'll see that it's pretty basic and that you won't find any technological mysterys there. The linkage from the control lever will lead you to a sheild on the right hand side of the machine at the top of the grain tank. You should have power up there. Make sure that the tightener pulley is lining up with the drive belt. If everything there is as it should be, You'll probably find that you got shear pin broke somewhere. In any case it shouldn't be a big deal, everthing should be fairly accessible. We had several 55's when dad was farming, but I haven't been on one for over twenty years but I do remember that as being a re-occuring problem and I was always able to take care of that myself with my limited mechanical savvy.
