I hate to inform you but to my knowledge of the dubuque tractors of this erra that used a sealed beam 6 volt light is NO LONGER AVAILABE. unfortunitly you will have to buy the earlier style of light unit that has a TURN IN LIGHT BULB. I have been through this before. there was a certain period that JD tried to use this special sealed beam 6 volt and they discontinued it at the end of the 420 erra. On the new 430 they went to a new design of light like on the rest of the 30 series tractors that had a new design 6 volt sealed beam... the one you can buy today. IT DOES NOT fit the light unit you have for your 420. So take the two front lights off put they in a box marked NFG or parts no longer availabe. Go buy 2 new lights from stiener and put them on. they have to be the bullet style to be original as can be. at a first look you will say the two lights look the same but if you look close the one on your 420w is designed special for a sealed beam. Even the outside ring is different and DOES NOT interchange. the rear light JD always used a turn in bulb so you dont have to worry about a SEALED BEAM not working for it. Hope this helps, I have been there done this. Good luck.

Some of them only bring their noses down out of the air long enough to look down them anyway. If you are like me you are only doing this old tractor stuff because you enjoy it. You
