Until somebody actually can state the technology involved - I do no believe there is a cost-effective method to rebuilt a pencil injector. To do so the seats would have to be reground and narrowed to the original size. All the pencil injectors I've seen first-hand sold as "rebuilt" were just cleaned-up used injectors that did not have the service life new ones. But I am not always up to date on the latest techs. Lavoy says he sells pencil injectors that truly ARE rebuilt so maybe he'll chime in.
I put a set of brand-new Chinese pencil injectors in my Deere 300B maybe 5 years ago at $38 each. They've been fine. I also put a set in my Case 580CK maybe 8 years ago and they also have been fine. I also put a set in my neighbor's Deere 4000 a few years ago with zero issues.
In regard to checking and setting the "pop" pressure. Keep in mind that pressures for new injectors are different then for used injectors. Do not try to set used injectors at "new" specs.
