I ran into the same problem. My trailer has very heavy duty homemade fenders that my MF 165 fits between just fine. Trouble came when I went WILD and got a JD 60! I beefed up the fenders a little bit more and added 6" to the sides. A removeable 6x6 sloped to match the fenders makes it possible to drive OVER the fenders. The "60" is way too fast in reverse and the govenors always open up at the wrong time. My friend's Farmall "M" backs on over the fenders much better. Having the tractor traveling on the highway 8-10" closer to the road is a nice option. Loading the "60" is a challenge. I have chains on all four corners now and took the rig 746 miles to Mackinac Bridge ride in 2012 with no problems. I was fortunate to have a very heavy built trailer that made adding the options possible.
