Tractor was running fine, parked it for a month, started it up and it quit. I installed new plugs, points, cap, condenser, rotor button, it would start but cut off if you gave it any gas. I replaced the old carb with new zenith and same problem. So replaced coil, same problem. I bypassed the switch and put 12v to the postive side of coil in case bad resistor. same problem. So I replace intake gaskets because it acts like it is getting to much air. Same problem. Then this afternoon I tried chokeing it till gas ran out of carb, open choke back up and full throttle, it would start but poped and backfired then it started running, 10 mintues later it started all over not being able to take any throttle without curting off. Next thing is to replace distributor, god this thing is costing me too much. Any one have any ideas?
