At a recent auction, I purchased a device that looks like it supports a John Deere tractor or implement. I say John Deere because the former owner was a John Deere collector and farmer, It is also painted green but has no identifying tags. It measure 4 feet high, is constructed of angle iron and has 3 pairs of bolt holes 20, 35 and 47 inches high. Between the supports which are slightly bent outwards, the three pairs of bolt holes are 16 3/4, 17 1/4 and 17 1/2 apart. Possible it was used to hold up a Tricycle while it was being worked on? What do you think it was used for?
