Several years ago, I cut down a JD 80 planter to make a one row sweet corn planter out of it. It is a finger planter and will plant all size seeds. I use a one row planter so that I can plant 48" centers. It makes for EZ picking. Parts for the 80 are kind of hard to find; but, the internals of the 7000 are almost the same. You must cut out the inside disk to mach up with the old 80 disk.The fingers are the same. Keep it dry and keep it clean as they are prone to rotting out. Ed
