Got cover off, used the screw driver trick to pop the offending front syncro. Fired up motor,(purr's nice) pto works fine, clutch works looks fine, but engine makes the missing teeth on the reverse gear on the differental drive shaft and the messed up ones on the top shaft shake rattle and rock the tractor. Eventualy while try to diagnose the hydrolices not working we must have got it just right and we locked it up again. 1.5hrs later we poped the same sycro and walla instant 1/4 rotation of the one tire we had jacked up and movement in all the gears.

Next question, on our 4010, or 4020PS we have full hydrolic power by the time the tractor starts usaly or shortly thereafter. If the charge pump is out on this one or the clutch is pressed, shouldn't I still get hydrolic pressure. I ran the motor for maybe 3-5 minutes and the steering sort had pressure several times came and went, and the brakes pumped up a couple times. We played with the hydrolic shut off for cold starts, hoping that if the stroke control vale was stuck it would pop loose.
Right now we figure we are going to steal this motor for another 4020 because this trans has more than $1000 worth of problems(I think?), But I want to test as much of the parts on it as I can to see if thay are any good.
Maybe Monday when we unload it off the trailer I get you some photos of what happens when someone as a chain and a bigger tractor, instead of a screwdrive and some knowledge.
