If it needs a valve job let the machine shop do it. Ask them about the hardened seats. As for the aftermarket power steering. It may degrade the value of tractor but maybe not. Unsure on the retainers. The bearing must be pulled off. The tractor has a thermo-syphon cooling system. Be need for a thermostat. Mix water and anti-freeze BEFORE dumping it in the radiator. The shutters work very well. That's your thermostat. You open and close them manually by turning the knob on the dash watching the gauge. Operating temp should be up around 180-190*. Good luck.
