Just another guess, but there's an adjustment in the back side of the clutch to keep it from going too far back when the clutch is pulled. If it goes back too far you can't get it to stop. It's adjusted by either shims or adjusting bolts depending on model and serial #. If the guys at the paint shop have the throttle running too fast, as many non-two banger oriented people do, the clutch might not stop from centrifugal force keeping it engaged. That can be somewhat cured by proper adjustment of those shims or adjusting bolts on the back side. Those are the two odd ball things that come to mind. Jim
