Re-assembling my 1928 D-serial-71371 --the oil pump gear teeth on the '28 are worn to almost half size!! - I have a pump assembly from a 1935 D that we got from Manitoba as a project tractor (story -no pictures when buying with a load of others-"just need a radiator and head and it's a running tractor" I was told -so I knew those parts were missing -when it arrived(should have taken a picture) -all four tires rotten and flat, no head, no rad, no hood, no carb, no mag -seized pistons-right piston top was cracked -all four rims are excellent - WOW -should have left it there-but there are very few parts D tractors in Ontario so I am glad we brought it here -have torn it down for parts, internal engine parts, camshaft and oil pump are excellent condition - using both parts in the '28 - set the cylinder block and pistons vertical in shop with KROWN rust control penetrating fluid sitting on top for 6 months -both pistons needed one blow with a wood block and sledge and they fell out!!!pics are of the two oil pumps sitting on my workbench. 1928 D does not have an engine oil filter.
