I cleaned/reamed my 60 dltx with a set of welding tip cleaners. Available from any farm store for around 5.00 in the welding section. They're barbed similar to a file, work very well. I didn't have to pull the balls on mine. I was able to get the tip cleaners through all the passages eventually. I used one measuring .035". Had to use smaller ones in some passages and work up to the .035". I cleaned the passages until I got a good flow of carburetor cleaner by sticking the flexible spray can hose in the accessible end of the passage and watching for flow out the other end. Check out Duane Larson's presentation on duplex carbs on this website. He illustrates the routes of the passages very well. My carb has freeze plugs on each side that I could have pulled and ran the tip cleaners all the way back to the steel balls but I didn't need to. Before I started on this carb the tractor would not run at any speed without the choke full on. Now it idles both slow and fast very well without the choke. Pulls way down without missing a stroke also. You won't have to worry about breaking one of the welding tip cleaners.
