A pump like JLG say's and a putty knife and a cheap 2 inch paint brush. Buy a couple of gallons of diesel or kerosene to go into the spry pump. Place a empty 5 gal. plastic bucket under the crankcase. Spray the diesel/kerosene all around the inside the crankcase. Remove sediment with putty knife and paint brush and spray again. Repeat with paint brush and spray again. After the spray pump is empty, pour the dirty diesel/kerosene through paper filters or rags and run it through the spary pump again. Clean (filter) the kerosene/diesel and store it in a 5 gal. container for cleaning use later. The spray nozzel that Frank mentioned is a good thing if you have a air compressor. If you are a poor shade tree mechanic like me, you improvise.
