The 52 B has a voltage regulator and the light switch has nothing to do with charging like it did on the older tractors. You need to hook a voltmeter across the batterty and with the tractor running you hould meaure about 7 volts. If you don't, measure the voltage at the A terminal of the generator. If you do not get 7 volts, ground the F terminal with a jumper wire. If you don"t get voltage now there is something wrong with the generator. If you do there is something wrong with the regulator or you have corrosion or an open in the BAT wire going to the battery. Let us know the results.
