Th 2440 and 2640 tractor models, built prior to 1980 were Dubuque tractors. The other 40 series tractors were all sourced from Mannheim---the 2040, 2240 and 2840! Before that, only the 820 and 920 tractors were imported. A 1020, 1520, 2020, 1530, 2030 and 2630 are all made in Dubuque. In 1980, the Dubuque works shifted to building industrial equipment only and production of all of the utilities was moved to Mannheim. The Mannheim 2440 is also slightly different from the Dubuque 2440.
