Jim, your tractor definitely didn't come from the factory with a Wico X. The X is a much later released magneto. ~As far as I can tell, your B came with a Fairbanks-Morse RV2B. There was a slight mag change in the 36 year somewhere but I believe it was still a RV2B mag. ~The Wico X will work on your B & at most shows the later Wico is accepted as it was a dealer replacement for the failed earlier Fairbanks-Morse. ~Those old Fairbanks-Morse RV2B are getting kind of pricey & the parts are becoming hard to find, & expensive when you do. ~The other problem with the original Fairbanks-Morse RV2B mags is that you can't leave your tractor sitting un-attended for overnight anywhere without fear that someone will steal the mag [those mags go fast if not watched constantly]. ~If you don't want to use the Fairbanks-Morse RV2B you could always use a Wico C, that C mag looks a little more era correct for the unstyled tractors & most people don't know they aren't correct.....
