we have a 535 ford baler, ity makes on the average 55lbs bales. we bought it new in 73 and have used it ever since to put up around 5 or 6000 bales a year. my neighbor has one he bought 2 years before me, he has used it sop much that the knotters are wore out,if you let it sit for a few days you have to kick out 30 or 40 bales before it picks up but once it does then you can go for ever. i would get the baler down toaround 850 to 900 which i think is resonable. personaly i think the fords are just as good as the newhollands but werent made for high-capacity hay makers(alfalfa growers) but other wise good balers. if you go to search and type in ford baler it should bring up a deal like this. we had this discussion before. john2510-3020
