GOOD appraisers are few and far between. We had a "certified appraiser" come appraise the equipment on mt grandfather's estate. Cost us a grand and his prices were a joke. We finally found out what the items were worth when we took them to a large consignment auction and sold them. He wasn't even close on a single item.
Best bet is to take it all to a consignment sale and let the bidders set the price. You bid on what you want up to what you want to pay for it. If someone else thinks it's worth more, well they get it.
To get a feel for what the items *should* bring, search for them on fleabay under "completed listings". you can also find auction results on auctiontime. a Google search usually brings up auction results for purplewave and proxibid. Location is gonna affect price as well and these results may not be close to you, but they will give you a feel for what things actually sell for.
