What length is your top link set at? most of the old Dearborn plows were made to use with the top link set at 25". When you said it wanted to pop up and out is it just jumping up or is it going to the left and coming out? If it is going to the left and pulling out then it is the furrow wheel causing the problem. If the furrow wheel is right and the top link is set correctly, other than leveling it once your in the furrow, they run easily. Draft is what you want for that plow, not position control. The cross shaft hasn't been moved has it?
