If you are using a tractor loader and trying to rip roots, I do not think teeth will help, if you are putting that much force to one side of the loader, you could easily stress fracture or bend components that make up the loader, roots are strong, you really need earth moving equipment that is built stronger, a tractor loader with a 5 foot bucket, is going to be too light. Even with bits on the bucket wall sides, that could cut, once the roots are severed on one side, thats all you'll get, leaving a flapper sticking out the other and I assume these are from standing trees not stumps. A 3 pt backhoe would be a better choice, or a dozer. Teeth on the bucket could create a situation where it wants to dig in too deep too fast or catch too many roots at once, causing you to lose traction or stall. I don't see teeth on a small bucket being used effectively on thick stubborn roots, when trying to use it as a root rake, conditions may vary, overall I do not think its a productive method to use.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
