I have a 605H, love it. These comments are about the H but assume the J is similar.
Make sure they did not bend the rear gate. If it does not lock down correctly on both sides it will never make a good bale.
Belts are expensive so if there are a lot of splices discount accordingly. You can got to haytools.com to price new belts for that model.
Have them hook it up and make sure all of the hydraulics and electrics (if any) work correctly. Run the belts and feel the bearings to see if any get hot. Be best to actually get to roll a bale but the wrong season for that. There are a bunch of bearings on it but the expensive ones are on the main large roller and the drive sprocket.
Look at the chains and sprockets to see if they are abnormally wearing or loose. IF loose, and the idler is at max, will need to replace chains. Can discount accordingly on that also. If the sprockets are worn, lots more expensive, I would walk away at that point.
