We used the Massey version of that baler from 1979 to 1998 and it was still baling when we traded it. I agree with whats been said, as long as the hay is dry you will be fine. Check the upper feed roller real good because if the rubber is starting to come off you will wish you had never seen the baler. Another plus is the C series doesnt need quite the horsepower of the later series balers.If you want an open throat design the Vermeer G series was the first to have the open throat.
