Dick I can't comment on the 715, never owned one, but on the 915 and the 1466 combines they run the engines at a higher rpm than in the tractors which equates to more HP. I just got a 1466 and they run the DT436 at 2900 RPM at high idle and probably 2750 under load. In a tractor it is 2400 under load. The DT414 in the 915 is about 200 RPM higher than the 1066. More rpm, means quicker wear on the engine. I have heard of cases where they turn the DT466 to 3000rpm in trucks. The HP on a combine would be higher if you measure the tractor HP as DrawbarHP.
