I thought it was a really novel idea with a lot of merit.
Less wheel tracking becasuse you are not out there with a cart.
Reduces the need for labor... no cart operator. Trading capital for reduced labor is not a new idea in agriculture.
Could still use a cart, and dump less frequently... could cut compaction in long fields.
Lower center of gravity with the grain down low- less top-heavy on hillsides.
As for the loss of productivity because of having to stop... threshing machines could run with near 100% threshing time. No turning around or dumping. We don't use them any more do we????
Another plus- it was invented by a farmer, not a machinery company. Some of the best advancements in ag came out of farm shops, not corperate headquarters.
