Kurt , Wheel Horse started the Lawn Ranger seires in 1962 with the 32-R and the 32-E ( R for recoil E for electric start) these had small 4x8 rear tires and hard rubber tires up front , they shared the same hood ,front axle and transmission as the rest of the Wheel Horse tractors that year. In 1964 they made the hood full leanth (no aluminum gas tank or dash). In 1965 the next generation had 18x8.50 rear tires a two spoke steering wheel these remaned the same untill 1968 the 1968's had a three spoke steering wheel and a full leanth hood decal .The early years had a 5 1/2 hp Tecumseh in 1964 till 1968 they used the 6 hp H60 Tecumseh . They only had a few attachments that were worked by the hand lever a 38" snow blade ,32" snow blower , 32"mower deck there was a tow hitch in back to pull a wagon . Even though there was not a lot of attachments and they were small the Lawn Ranger was still built with same heavy duty transmission and used the same cast iron front axle as the bigger tractors made by Wheel Horse . From 1969 to 1971 Wheel Horse made a cheaper Lawn Ranger with fiberglass hoods , sheet metal for the frames and used the Peerless transmission .As for the size chicks at tractor shows think they are cute , they weigh 411 pounds with electric start and 335 without . If you want to know the specific year of a Lawn Ranger or have any other questions just let me know .
