Thanks for the e-mail Kevin. As you might have guessed, I found no relay. The model number is the 917.270912...the TIA is short for "thanks in advance" Sorry for the confusion. Just to make sure we are on the same page, yes I can start the engine by jumping the solenoid but not by just turning the key. I am sure the problem is electrical but not sure where to start replacing switches. This can get expensive going thru Sears. Just trying to determine what to replace first. Thanks again
