I was also looking at the 2002 Sabre 17542. The dealer has a 2001 model 1742 which he said was built better (had a sturdier frame, I think it was). Was this not true? He knocked off $150 since it was last year's model. I can live with the 5 speed. If the new model is in fact better, does the John Deere 30 day return policy apply to the Sabre line, too?
